NTSB officials have landed at the airport where the incident has occurredd. Several Black Hawk Helicopters are flying above the crash site presumably to help in the military's efforts in the investigation. The runway taken by the plane is a secondary runway designed to be used for general aviation not commericial and significantly short of the required 5800-6300ft. required by law for a fully loaded plane similar to the one involved. It is also believed that the secondary runway was not marked with runway lights and is designed for daytime use only.Crew members names have been confirmed as Capt. Jeffrey Clay, first officer James Polehinke and flight attendant Kelly Heyer.

49 killed with 1 surviver. If this person recovers, can you imagine what he'd feel like knowing he was the sole surviver? It'd change your life forever.

You are not going to force this us-centric website to produce comments and conversation around world news. Our news revolves around the US. Everything outside of the US is extra. If you live in another part of the world don't tell me you look at the world as "One World". Judging by comments made by you and others you either look at it as...1) The U.S. vs The rest of the world2) Your specific country vs The U.S. vs The rest of the world.

This is the type of sarcasm I expect from contributors to the Cafferty File, not Digg. Well done. :)

@aviat0rYou are correct...a similar incident happened with a Singapore Airlines...it was a 747-400 but the difference was, that it was dark, raining, and it was on a Parallel runway...so the Runway number was the same. This was just surprising to me...We'll see what happens.
