apnews.myway.com — The town of Greenburgh, NJ is pushing a program that would let seniors work part-time, for $7 an hour, to help pay off some of their property taxes. This is sick. Nothing about cutting property taxes in there at all.

If there were ever any doubt that taxpayers are serfs of the government, this should clear it up. A conservative solution would be to CUT taxes of the elderly. The liberal solution is to put them to work when they should be enjoying their last years. No doubt chicofaraby would have no problem seeing his parents slaving in a cotton field. From 1865 till today, Democrats haven't changed a whit.

Would euthanasia of the terminally ill to save money on medical treatment fit into your idea of creative problem solving. It would certainly eliminate some of the burden. I guess the same could be done with those too infirm to work off their taxes as well. Then the property could be confiscated and sold on the open market. Of course the municipality would have to take a hefty handling fee and taxes and if there's anything left after the sale, those remaining family members would have to pay income tax on top of everything else. Or maybe they could just go to work for the govt. at minimum wage... wait! Better yet, let the govt. nationalize all industry and we can all work for our existence at the hands of a bureaucratic task master...
