But according to Wayne Rosso, the former CEO of Grokster who was involved with GGF recently, this is unlikely to happen. Meanwhile, The Pirate Bay is giving GGF a week before they cancel the deal.

Most of the money artists make comes from concerts and merch sales. With exceptions few and far between, royalties from album sales don't amount to much. The labels keep most of that money. This is the main reason why the RIAA aggressively pursues online piracy -- if it didn't, its member labels would be losing a lot more money than they already are. "Protecting artists' rights" is just a cover for the greed.

But in the end it was TPB itself that accepted the deal....so they are responsible for ruining their own credibility and fanbase, in the end.
