Agreed. I have nothing against downloading a movie I paid for already. Seeing it in the theatre costs as much as a DVD anyway if you take a date.

I agree with veridiac, you are wayyy to trusting of humans, i mean people who donate are usually people who are good hearted people so they most likely would not want to do anythign illegal or unjust, its the cheap selfish consumers that would steal without any remorse (i apologize for my cynicism but it comes from experience)And honestly you think the creative industry will be able to survive on donations alone??? that just sounds ridiculous in itself (no offense) and again it just devalues the art form, i mean why is the sports industry doing so well, i mean i think art should be valued way higher than most products available today because Im a person who loves art and culture and sees its true value, but its sad that people are complaining about 99cents a song, that is worth less than a pack of gum you know that right? of course artists will have to rely more on whoring themselves out to the ad industries like sports stars which is another negative trend, ide say if things continue on like this we will see the death of art and culture in this country, if it already hasnt happened....

veridiac Music would get better, if it was no longer cost effective to make crap pop from manufactured bands the only people creating music would be true artist that don't do it for the money. Revenue streams need to change. People still been buying music even though you have been able to freely listen to music on the radio for decades. It is all about getting yourself known then selling concert tickets to make the money.

"... we would have no professionally made music movies or software?"So what happened before copyright existed then?

"When copying is done on a wide scale, the original owner IS in fact deprived of the ability to make any money on it,"The music industry isn't bankrupt, artists are still making money, Your point is nonsensical.
