McCain has a few skeletons on his lawn (they really aren't hidden and thus aren't in his closet) like the Keating Five scandal. He has also been parroting white house press releases in an attempt to persuade the Rush listening, Fox watching, right of right wing groups to vote for him. So I don't know if he's actually gone insane or if he's just pandering (or both). All that aside though, he was and pretty much still is in action if not in his recent words a pretty good conservative politician. Which is odd since much of the conservative base consider him liberal. Many of his "rogue" stances which have estranged him on occasion from the republican party were in fact very good fiscally conservative positions.
The math comes out to something like 1.5 million per earmark. I'd rather see a few hundred thousand going to lobster research and the rest of the silly marks the news is reporting to get our goats, Then the millions in corporate and military R&D they give to the mongers then turn around and buy it back for the machine.
As an Obama supporter I have to say I'm impressed with McCain. It's hard to keep getting re-elected when you aren't gving your home district millions in pork and everyone else around you is busy rolling in the dough. He must be doing something people like.
Guess what kids, if you are totally against Pork spending then you are a socialist pinko who wants everything to be controlled by the central government. They take money away from us and the reps try to get some of that money back to their people in the form of various projects.
they tax the s**t outta me to pay for redundant unnecessary bulls**t that serves to fatten the wallets of crooks and create a frustrating bureaucracy within which integrity and morality are stifled in hypocrisy and greed. it's criminal.
