I guess in your opinion a soldiers that gives America a good name is one who sprays freedom bullets into everything that moves in an attempt to "spread" democracy. true. Thanks for pointing it out. However just because culture A adapted (which btw couldn't have been predicted) doesn't mean culture B will follow in its footsteps. Was there any culturally related mitigating factors in Japans case that is not present in Iraq today? (genuine question- i don't know the answer- just food for thought)
UPDATE; I am the Soldier holding the flag. We RESCUED it from anti-war protestors in Lawrence, Kansas around 2004. After taking this picture we turned it onto the local VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) for proper disposal according to military honor and regulation.
