skyetis.com— I'm going to teach you how to make a planet that looks somewhat realistic although, in the end, whether it looks realistic or not is entirely up to you and the way you play with settings.

Old to YOU, because YOU were interested in creating space. Was I interested in creating space? No. Therefore, I did not seek out this information the way you did.
All those nonense comments that say "good tutorial"...People, a good tutorial is NOT a good tutorial because you like the end result. Geez, if that were the case then why bother writing down the instructions! Do the tutorial first and only then return and tell us whether it's a well written tutorial or not.
I agree, the tutorial can only be as good as it is written, not what the end result is. Poorly written, but as I said, the whole process isn't impressive. Basically what you're doing is taking tin-foil, wrapping it into a ball and calling it gold.

This one only had the one layer for land texture. Definatly the best How to ive seen in a while, Fyi for anyone though, he forgets to tell you to place All the layers relating to the Planet(circular layers) to screen.
