Why is the picture of "bathroom break" from Bush included in this list?Yes, parts of the image (ie. the note itself) were exposed for longer times than others to improve contrast, but if that were the determining factor, nearly all of Ansel Adam's photos could be included in this list too!
I thought the most fake looking one was the University of Minnesota football fans picture. The picture of the black student they inserted for "the appearance of racial diversity" looks totally out of place.
It's an illustration all right, but it's not using models. It's using REAL MARINES. Don't you think this might affect this particular Marine's career -- from now only being tagged as the AWOL dude? What if there was a magazine article about Internet pedophiles and they used a picture of you sitting at your computer that you had allowed your university to take of you in class? Just an illustration mind you. Not really implying that you are a pedophile, ahem. Just using your photo of you at a computer to illustrate the story. Right. Would you think that was OK?

It was never in a paper. It was made for a right-wing Internet forum as a joke. Others took it and implied it was used for real. It wasn't.
