archibase.net — Stockholm's metro is well known for its decoration of the stations; it has been called the longest art exhibit in the world. Several of the stations are left with the bedrock exposed, crude and unfinished, or as part of the decorations.

All you people going "OMG I want my subway to look like this!" just remember that these photos are taken in weird angles with weird lighting. In reality it doesnt look as nice as on the photos. The stockholm subway is just as filthy, dirty and ugly as any other subway in the world. Meh.

The Abbesses metro stop in Paris has two impressive murals on its spiral staircases. uhm... I live in stockholm and use the subway every day to get to and from work. So I think I have a pretty good idea of how it looks.
