having worked at universal, I can tell you that the old bates motel is still standing (barely). It's used for storage now. The original hard rock restaurant is still there as well, also now used for storage. They're both somewhat visible while riding the nuthouse coaster in kidzone.
Did they put up a burm or something to block the view? Maybe it's the palm trees and the rest of the landscaping. I remember being able to see it off of Vineland Rd.Thanks for the inside info. :)
