I've been using it with the Picknik plugin for a while, and it's very solid. No photoshop replacement, nor will it probably ever be, but it does a lot of things well.

Yes, I found this discouraging as well. I've already forked out the cash for Photoshop (Well my company has that is), and many of the Premium effects will only take a few extra minutes in Photoshop anyway. Plus it just kind of feel like being nickle and dimed, I've already paid for Flickr yet they couldn't figure out some resource sharing agreement when they made their partnership? Bah..

the problem is that if you end an old image that is already embedded on third party sites. and if you replace that photo. the old photo links would be dead. flickr renames the images and you would have to fix those links manually.
