king5.com — Shortly after a homeowner evicted a tenant, an ad appeared in Craigslist inviting people to take whatever they want from the home. A couple days later, the house was stripped of everything, including light fixtures, windows, hot water heater and the kitchen sink.

craigslist has already been sued for this type of thing before. Courts dismissed the case, basically saying that craigslist is not responsible for what users post.

I wonder if the looters are going to post missed connections now:"Our eyes met for a second as I was taking apart the sink. I helped you unscrew the lightbulbs since you were too short. I think we have chemistry, e-mail me the first thing you looted if you want to get a coffee."

Or there's option c) The landlord leaves all their vacant properties unlocked. It sounds stupid but happens more often than you think. My boyfriend's old slumlord left the empty apartment beneath his unlocked for at least two months (he moved out so I don't know what happened after that). We'd cut through there to get to the shared balcony (his entrance went down a narrow, dangerous butler's staircase designed for midgets, and there were lots of spiders and gross things in there...), even played monopoly down there once. And it wasn't just that property. We looked at a few of his other ones when we were apartment hunting at that time. If we got there before the agent, we'd always check the door. They were always unlocked. And I never saw the agent take out a key. EVER. Seriously irresponsible behavior, especially in an area with a large number of homeless people...

The dysfunctional part is living in your sisters place then doing something so bad she has to evict you. I'm sure she has a good reason to evict her.

Cursing every other word doesn't win you any diggs.

I agree that a search warrant should be issued to find the poster of the ad. You can't just assume a family feud if a third party was involved. Secondly, kudos for creativity. I think they would have gotten a better corwd picking up stuff if they had posted in on http://www.freecycle.org.I wander if they took the kitchen sink or just anything that wasn't nailed down very well.http://designerplumbingoutlet.com
