If I was mayor (and had an interest in getting an iPhone), I'd just make one of my goons stand in line and get one for me.Meanwhile, I'd be in the skybox, catching a ballgame, washing down a hot dog with a beer or six.
I guess you dont get it... maybe if you lived in philly and your taxes were paying him 6 figures you MIGHT. Maybe if I say that your taxes are paying for his iPhone!
Amen. It's a holiday weekend. Lots of people take a few vacation/personal days before and after a holiday (particularly near the weekend) to maximize their time off.Maybe he was taking Friday off, has sat and sun off, is taking monday and tuesday off, and wednesday is a holiday. So he takes 3 vacation days, but has a total of 5 days vacation for the 4th.Nothing at all wrong with that. And what he chooses to spend his time doing, or what he chooses to spend his personal disposable income on, is no one's business.
Ok, so technically you are saying, since I am paying his salary through taxes, its unrealistic of him to own an iPhone? Wow. Well that pretty much means that no one in government, including the President and Vice President should also own an iPhone. Is that what you are saying? And standing in the line to get the iPhone is the part of an experience, which thousands of people went through all over U.S. yesterday. Get over it and don't be so up tight. If you are so considerate about your taxes, then take steps regarding stopping that freaking war.
