vgcharts.org — In an interview with Peter Moore, EGM grilled him about when the next one would come out, and questions about if they'd drop the X360 like a box of rocks like they did with the XB. He stated the production team from the 360 is working on the next Xbox, and their looking into what kind of CPUs will be available on the market in 2011-2012...

If Sony were to lose $4 billion on the PS3 like MS did on the original Xbox, you better believe they would drop it in the bottom of the ocean and never speak of it again. Sony, this time, is in a position where the PS2 is their only profit center. If you believe that support for the previous generation has to do with anything but profits, you're high.

What is sad is that they stopped making any decent Xbox games over a year ago...yet Sony releases the bombshell God of War 2 and Nintendo releases Twilight Princess for the GameCube. What hurts most Xbox 360 owners is knowing that Microsoft is already looking at replacing it 3-4 years.

Still waiting for the first price drop. The longer product life cycle makes sense as it allows MS to make more money on the system and god knows Sony needs to maximize the life span of the PS3 to make money on it.

Xbox 2011 or Xbox 2012 depending on whether it's released in 2012 or 2013 respectively. No, that's not a typo.

i have no idea why ur getting dugg down...the nes is some good stuff. a few years back i went around to a few game stores until i found me a copy of super smash tv. (which, despite the graphics, has got to be one of the bloodiest games ever) and while my snes STILL works to this day, my xbox which i believe i bought around the time it first came out, finally officially gave me the red ring of death.

@gxcdesignNot to mention FFXII. Yea, I'm kinda sad how quickly they dropped xbox 1, luckily I still have enough good games that hit the xbox in 2005 that I havent got to yet.

I'm sure HD-DVD will be around at that point. Dual format HD DVD / BR will probably be what DVD is today. And they'll be trying to sell us Full Ultra HD displays and a new Ultra-def disc.

Thanks for this completely pointless bit of information. That's like saying that in 3 more years there will be another Winter Olympics, or that there will be a presidential election in 2012, these things are blatantly obvious. If anyone thought that the 360 would last longer than 6-7 years was smoking something because if Microsoft has showed anyone anything about their business morals, they don't support anything for more than 5 years. (Windows XP, Windows ME, Xbox 1).
