thinkprogress.org — VIDEO: White House spokeswoman Dana Perino confirmed that President Bush plans to veto the legislation “tomorrow or so.” When asked whether there will be a ceremony, Perino replied, “I would not anticipate that there would be any ceremony.” She added, “The President will probably veto it quietly.”

If he righteously believe it, why not veto it with a flourish? It is because Bush is a coward who wants $190B funding for war and oil but cannot spare any for American children. Compassionate conservatism indeed.

You've answered your own question. Like Karl Rove saying "bring me one of those faith-based motherf*ckers" in order to assuage the religious right, while Rove himself is an atheist, Bush in interested in the political benefit, nothing else. Not one other damn thing. He's disgraceful, and he's our President. Poor reflection on us.

Well if it is any help - at least it isn't like America voted for him.

Somewhere a village is looking for their idiot. It is absurd that he would say it is too expensive while asking for so much for the freakin' war. ugh
