This is not news. It's just a matter of building forces in place. There have always been Psyops units in the US military. They are mostly in the Army, and put under Special Operations. Not Special Forces, Special operations. They also do Civil Affairs, counter terrorism, military assistance like medical and dental visits and foreign affairs.
