See my answer below bud - I for one (and I assume many other people throughout the world) would be very happy if you left. We don't welcome your so called 'protection'. (I mean after all I live in the UK - so what exactly are all of these vast US bases protecting my country from? The dangers of anyone attacking us on a large scale (other than perhaps some spotty backpack bomber from the back streets of Birmingham) is somewhere in the region of extremely unlikely to laughable - and there is certainly nothing looming on the horizon that my country is not more than able to cope with on it's own.So again I ask what exactly are you supposed to be protecting my country from?

Survey away. There is nothing in the Patriot Act that stops the American people from claiming back their country. Some will have to want it back so much that they are willing to go to prison over it, others invariably will be killed. But for every person that dies or is wrongfully imprisoned a martyr will be made of them.People just have to be willing to peacefully protest. Non-violent, non-resistant lack of willing to conform. To refuse to be oppressed. If 'they' are no longer given power of authority then it disappears quickly from their grasp. Simply work out which ways you are currently conforming or helping their system and stop.
