It's great to see a move like this - though I would point out that since the plant can also burn oil, why doesn't she consider substituting biodiesel from waste oil. I'm sure there's plenty of waste oil from DC steakhouses and posh lobbyist funded c**ktail parties that we could burn in the plant. Isn't the Republican Party's clubhouse just next door? Gas is a good start - but still results in CO2 releases.Since the plant is used only for heating and cooling the Capital complex - what could we gain by weatherizing? Those are some old buildings.
Yeah, let's trade one fossil fuel for another. Huge progress. What a bunch of greenwashing. And they didn't shut down the plant, it was already going to switch to natural gas because Pelosi owns $100,000 in T. Boone Pickens natural gas company. Yeah... Ms. Pelosi is going to profit from the switch from one form of cancer to another. How about we just get rid of the cancer altogether? Install solar panels in D.C. Like they installed 30 YEARS AGO. Oh, won't Pelosi profit from solar panels? Well then nevermind.If this is progress, we are doomed.

It is nice to see that some people are willing to go to jail to substituted one form of combustion (natural gas or biofuels) for another. Unfortunately any combustion source of heat will still release the same nasty products to the environment.
