He's definitely a politician, and has to work within the boundaries of his position, but so far I am satisfied.
Since being an ambassador is a pretty much ceremonial office, with no real work to do. What better place to stick wealthy donors who expect something?As and aside, I have no idea why we even have a State Department or a diplomatic corps.
