The headline of the article is the title from A.P.Hopefully there will be a more fully encompassing article with a headlineto reflect it.Ron Paul makes it very clear with every opposition to McCain where his feet are firmly planted, I respect that.
jeebodonI can understand your sentiment there, but in this respect with regards to politicians, it's different. If you were saying this very same thing in reference to people on here calling each other names then I would agree with you, but since you're just simply referring to people insulting politicians, then I've gotta disagree.I agree there should be civility and all. We should be civil towards each other, but I hold politicians to a different standard and as far as I'm concerned politicians are fair game and aren't deserving of respect because of the very nature of their position and the harm they bring to us. Politicians deserve what they get. I don't even respect them as human beings. I have more respect for lawyers and telemarketers than I do for politicians. So I could care less about insults being flung at McCain or Obama. Serves them right. They bring it onto themselves by going into their money grubbing, power lust line of work in which they just want to rule our lives instead of getting a real job that actually does something useful for society. They're useless, bureaucratic parasites sucking off of their hosts, that being us. Both sides can sling all the mud and tear each other apart for all I care. I don't give a flip. That's the nature of politics. We shouldn't be surprised by it. Politics by its very nature is divisive and hateful and turns people against each other. If anyone doesn't believe me, maybe they need to get their fricken heads out of the sand. Don't be so damn deluded. As long as we play this stupid political game in which we cheerlead for one side and expect government to do things for us, then we reap what we sow and we shouldn't later complain when people get angry and start calling names. What did you expect to happen when you try to start controlling people through government? This is what you get.
