engadget.com — It's not like Apple, SanDisk, and Samsung haven't waded through their fair share of lawsuits in the past, and this most certainly isn't the first (nor the last, sadly) patent troll story you'll ever hear of, but a presumably off-kilter (and incredibly desperate) individual has filed a suit claiming that he masterminded the MP3 player.

How do I go about the process of filing for a patent. I want to patent the process of patent trolling. I plan to collect double the amount of what they are suing everyone else for. :) /JK

All of this patent nonsense has got to stop. I'm sick of people patent squatting. Hey, at least Apple, Sandisk, Samsung, et al did something with it, not just patent it with the intent to sue people!

I patented the invention of 'using a written language to achieve the goal of filling in an application for a patent'. Now pay up.

I patented the ellipsis (...) so you pay up.
