worldnetdaily.com — Pat Robertson, founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network, announced at his staff's annual prayer retreat that God told him Americans would embrace socialism in 2009 "in order to relieve their pain" and that the economy would rebound under an Obama administration.

I don't go on his site much, but I have seen him pray for others in great faith, received inspiration on their conditions, that either greatly improved or were healed....doctors affirm the power of prayer in healing....Faith based....all schools should receive full benefit of private property taxation....parents pay taxes but those in parochial school to this day are not allowed to have their children taken to school by school buses....Parochial schools teach good citizenship to the students to be servants of all in society....So don't be too hard on faith based...freedom of religious expression is also upheld in public schools...it has been school boards intimidated by highly vocal minorities -- not even representing the majority of their constituents -- who have a real intolerance of anything religious, particularly Christian. Albeit, there are some sects that have strange ideas that provoke people...but tolerance goes both ways...

God has revealed His truth in His written Word, the Bible. He revealed His truth to the Prophets in the Old Testament and through His Son, Jesus Christ and the Apostles in the New Testament. There is no conflict between the two. God has given us all that we need for life and righteousness. He has also given us prophesy which tells us what has happened and what will happen from the beginning until the end of time on this earth. Much of that prophesy is now history which has been confirmed by secular historians. He has told us WHAT will happen, but He has not told us precisely WHEN it will happen. He has prophesied the rise and fall of empires before they became history; e.g., the Assyrian Empire, the Babylonian Empire, the Persian Empire, the Greek Empire, and the Roman Empire. He has clearly prophesied the history of Israel and her relationship to and throughout all these empires and beyond. He has clearly prophesied a great war known as God and Magog (not Armageddon) which is yet to come (Ezekiel 38-39), and looking at the current world situation especially the events in the Middle East, this great event is not too far off. He has said that a number of countries will come against Israel to defeat her. These nations include Russia, Iran, Turkey, some of the former Stans of the USSR, Lebanon, Syria, the Sudan, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia. Note that these nations are all Muslim societies. The one nation not mentioned is Iraq! As of two days ago, the Ayatolla Khomeini was calling for ALL Muslims to rise up against Israel and utterly defeat her in response to Israel's invasion of the Gaza. This may well happen in the near future. But, Israel will not be defeated! God's Word says there will be a massive earthquake that will destroy these armies in the mountains north of Israel, and that the nations that sent troops will be "brought down." That is truth. There are many Christian and Jewish scholars who say the same thing. They agree that the time is getting short. They also agree that the United States is not mentioned as a world power in the last days! That is because the greatness of this nation is gone. When the leadership, by their failure to strengthen the national faith in God, and by their dishonesty in words and actions which clearly demonstrate a distain for God, excluded Him from our society, they sealed the fate of the nation. It really doesn't matter whether America accepts socialism or not. It doesn't matter whether Newdow wins his law suit or not, it doesn't matter whether Obama raises taxes or not, ultimately, this nation is going the way of the other great empires, it is collapsing from within. Since America feels no need for God in our national life, He has withdrawn His blessing. Without that blessing, there is no future for America. Man is incompetent to maintain this nation!Speaking of prophets, if a prophet in Old Testament times claimed to speak for God and he was wrong, he was considered a false prophet and he was killed! Praise the Lord, Pat Robertson wasn't living back then! He claims God "told" him things before which didn't come to pass. I wonder if it is really "God" speaking to him!

As a christian Pat Robertson both disgusts and infuriates me. If anybody claims that God TOLD them something, stay clear. They are full of s**t. He is diminishing God's kingdom with his lies, not growing it.
