Seriously good idea. I don't know why I didn't think of it earlier. I've been using weird variations of my password on different sites, but it usually means I end up guessing through 2 or 3 before getting it right depending on how long it's been since I've been to the site.
Very good advice. I've been very suspicious lately when signing up to new sites that they might do what this article now confirms.Maybe MS Passport was a better idea than people gave it credit for.
A tip I have read on making your base password long complex and easy to remember is to create a password in the form of a fake e-mail address like:Fakepass@somefakeYada.orgThis bogus example is a 29 character, mixed case password with two symbols in it and you can still use the great ideas listed in this article.I used to use a mnemonic, but this easier...

Although my passwords are all very secure and random, you can never be too safe and I will be adding this rule to my passwords as well.
