I thought penguins were asexual... so how CAN they be homosexual?
essteeNov 19, 2006
Sounds to me like you have experienced and observed animal nurturing. Sounds nice... I wonder now, if this was a gay experience?

@pozzoe "Homosexuality is as unnatural as marriage"Homosexuality is a lot more natural than mariage ^^

@Esstee:No we don't. If we didn't have all these stupid laws our species would have less disease and be more vialbe in the end. Natural selection happens for a reason idgit.

Humans unlike animals have a inherent sense of right and wrong. No matter how hard we try we will always have the need to distinguish and separate right from wrong. This is what makes humans human and animals animals. While some seem to think that we would bet better off living animal profiles.. You would however be hard pressed to find candidates willing to give up the power of knowledge between right and wrong in exchange for innocence.Equally it is important to people distinguish the true cause of disease and suffering. Contrary to what many think the answers are not as openly available we would of hoped. It is our own human nature to blame all things on circumstances which touch us the most. I won't both drawing examples but rest assured more times than none we are left short on controlling such aspects of life. We are humans, distinct living organisms above all other living organisms on this planet. While many prefer to classify or identify us as animals to satisfy there own needs we are unique and our needs should be treated as such.Of course there are those who seem to think animal life is better and for those I would say... by all means, help yourselves ;)

Re: EssteeYou seem to be arguing form a point that homosexuality isn't unnatural in the way that being born blind isn't unnatural, just not in the best interest of the survival of that person or the society.Under this assumption, you argument is correct. However you should reexamine your belief that homosexuality is detrimental to society. It is not.You would be correct if there where only a dozen humans on the planet and there was a real chance that there might not be enough children to carry on the species. We can through out that argument right now. The other possibility would be that less children could threaten the stability of the retirement system because of the decrese of childern to contribute to it. Remember that we have evolved for 100's of thousands of years in an environment where we didn't have to support older people for as long as we do now. I would also argue that homosexuals are helpful because they can take care of children that have lost their parents. They can contribute to society without adding children that require resources. This provides a check on population growth, keeping down inflation which can be a serious problem. Here is something to think about. What if the bible said that left handed people where an abomination? Would we be debating that.

"Parents want gay penguins book blocked"That's funny. Not the fact that they want it blocked, but the way in which it was presented. Parents don't want their children taught basic moralistic behavior. It's not the fact that it's two male penguins. It's the fact that the book tells children that being gay is as acceptable as a man and a woman being together. Would "Parents want aids spreading penguins book blocked" be acceptable? Probably not, The fact is that most Americans recognize that being gay is a fact of life. They don't hate gays. They don't want them harmed. They just don't want this crap presented to their children as if it's perfectly acceptable mainstream lifestyle in the American dream. And scream all you want about bigots and racists, I'm neither, but I wouldn't want it presented to my child that way either, and I have gay friends. It's a sexual preference. Not a "minority". I'd be on their side if the title was Parents want sadomasochistic penguins book blocked". You people need to think instead of react. This is America. We have moral values that have been taught here for ages. You want these values to go away, and bitch when people complain when you try to take them away. Try being an American.

Do they have penguin homosex right there between the pages? People are nuts - and penguins are having a tough time --See this story to learn what a diminished species the African Penguin is: http://livegreenlivesmart.org/blogs/green_news/default.aspxMaybe those fools just objected to the variety of penguin rather than the same sex-iness -- they mistook their continentism for homophobia....
