themovieblog.com — The Movie Blog has been going crazy over The Transformers for almost a year giving tons of positive hype. Then, without even a request to take an image down, Paramount had them shut down for 8 hours. This pissed off the Editor of The Movie Blog a LOT. This is his open letter back to Paramount. You've got to read this.

Did the big, floating, multilayered ad telling you that your computer was at risk bother the hell out of anyone else? Honestly, what sort of animal would allow that kind of invasive advertising on their website?

I got the same thing. No Digg for assh**e marketing techniques. That was the worst pop up I've seen.

When will big companies think of us as people and not commodities? Maybe the same day that they start to use common courtesy instead of sledgehammer litigation.

Hey, don't digg down IrishmanVT or cameron074. Those were great references to Spaceballs.

"So, you boycotted the Spider-Man movies, the X-Men movies, The Passion of The Christ, and Superman Returns, right? Because they didnt stay exactly true to the source material either."Well considering that your list comprises arguably the worst movies made in the last five years (I wouldn't necessarily say that of "Passion" but I don't think it belongs in this grouping anyway), more people definitely should have. I certainly didn't see Spider-Man 2 after the first disaster. Sure, they offer up a lot of explosions and an overabundance of CG (some would see that as a detriment anyway), none of these adaptations or remakes have had nearly a fraction of the soul of their original sources (did you honestly feel any emotion watching Routh clutz around as Superman?). Besides the fact that they should just let a good thing be, is there not a single major studio director who can actually do one of these franchises some justice??Ug, now they're about to ruin Transformers, 'Turtles,' and He-Man - probably my favorite three cartoons from childhood...
