I agree..I've always debated that hd-dvd VS. blu-ray is much different than betamax VS. vhs.we now have $25 dvd players...in a couple of years dual format players will be less than the price of a dedicated hd-dvd or blu-ray player today.

HD-DVD fanboys have been putting a lot of focus on movie studios lately. Interesting how they have chosen to ignore all of the manufacturers who back each format: Blu-ray has: * Sony * Dell * Hewlett-Packard * Hitachi * LG Electronics * Panasonic * Mitsubishi Electric * Philips Electronics * Apple * Pioneer Electronics * Samsung Electronics * Sharp * TDK * Thomson MultimediaHD-DVD has: * Toshiba * NEC * Sanyo * Memory-Tech * Microsoft * IntelAnd who the f**k are memory-tech anyway?Source: http://www.hack247.co.uk/2007/01/07/hd-dvd-vs-blu-ray-a-comparison/

Since when? The 360 HD-DVD drive is a USB-connected drive. There are *plenty* of reports on the Internet about using the XB360 HD-DVD drive with your PC as an HD-DVD player.http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=325
