In the midst of all of this praise, am I the only one who finds Parallels Desktop buggy, unstable and user-unfriendly? The installation process is clumsy and confusing, as is starting up XP. The accompanying manual is confused and set out in an illogical order. There doesn't seem to be any documentation about how to access your Mac's Documents folder - I had to look deep within a forum on Parallel's website to find out how to do this. The transition options to expand the window to full-screen mode are shaky and just plain silly. Am I missing something?
Are you using an old version of Parallels? The newer betas are much more robust and easier to use. What is your system configuration (most importantly, how much RAM do you have and how much did you allocate to XP)?Do you realize the transition effects are user-selectable?Have you compared the ease of use of Parallels to that of the competition? (Do you also realize the software isn't yet final?)
Streak - I am using the latest version of Parallels. Yes, I turned off the transitition effects. The competition - I assume you mean Boot Camp. Boot Camp is flawless, but is less convenient because it requires a re-boot.
