arstechnica.com — Parallels is just churning out the beta releases these days, and has released Beta3 just before the new year along with Transporter Beta3, which allows you to migrate your real Windows PC over to Parallels as well as a VMWare Virtual PC.

I hear parallels will one day get 3d support. Anyone know when that is coming?

I have this installed on my macbook pro and it works fine with my bootcamp partition. Although I am having problems right clicking. I tried putting 2 fingers on the trackpad and clicking and ctrl clicking and nothing brings up the right click menu in windows.

You can share data via the parallels shared folder (through finder and explorer) that is configured when the virtual machine is powered down.

You're sure that's a G5 you've got and not a Mac Pro? Cuz you can't run parallels on a PPC like the G5 mate...

Another great leap for Parallels. I'm on a MBP running 10.4.8. Only thing I can't get to run is update the ROM on my 2003 Windows Mobile Dell Axim. I'm able to sync, etc though. I'm guessing it's because of the lack of isochronous support.

I like Parallels but, why is it taking them so long to get the webcam working. I mean VMWares first public beta Fusion has it working flawlessly. I've had several MS live messenger video chats that worked perfectly in Fusion. Come on Parallels team! People may not consider this important since we have ichat but, I have a lot of family that uses windows only machines and sorry but, ichat to ichat is the only way for decent looking video chat on the Mac at this point. Live Messenger has some of the best video quality for a free app at this time. Anyway, that is my only beef with Parallels, other than that it rocks!

I run Mac OSX on my main screen and XP on the other. Parallels is a rocking product. (Makes me want to buy another mac or two.)
