So if I order myself up a quad-core woodcrest having Mac Pro with sixteen gigs of memory and a couple of X1900XTs (yeah, I know, no CrossfIRE®) I won't be able to allocate enough resources to the VM for it to perform as well as, say, and AMD 4800+ with 2 GB RAM? Wow, that's a lot of overhead.

There infact is a way to run OSX under Windows.See there is this thing its "Developers" call OSx86, it essentially is 10.4.x Tiger Intel, in some parts replaced with stuff From Darwin x86, Apples OpenSource Unix underpinning compiled for the everyday BeigeBox PC, and hacked non-opensourced files from Tiger, to make it run on Bios driven BeigeBox PCs."OSx86" 10.4.5 and up run ok in a Standard VMWare Workstation or VMWare Player under Windows.The UI is a bit slow, because VMWare emulates a pretty old non-3D Accelerating 8MB Graphics Card, which OSX OBVIOUSLY doesn't have a driver for....but Processing Speed is quite good, worlds apart from what PearPC delivered.So...since this, um....is.....uh, illegal......i of course wouldn't have tried this myself but....uh.....read about this being possible on....um.....a website...which i didn't bookmark...

those issues are a load of crap. internet shenannigans i say! i bought a macbook, no problems whatsoever. beautiful little machine. a coworker bought a rev1 macbook pro, also no problems of any kind.i think these issues are blown out of proportion by an extremely vocal minority, and then latched onto by people like yourself who somehow get off on looking for problems in big companies.

lol, typical responses from people who don't get what "full speed" windows gaming means. That term refers to you can have as powerful of a system as if you built a Windows box... unfortunately that isn't true, the hardware is great for Mac stuff, its what it is built for, but when you load Windows, the hardware is limiting. You can't "full speed" game in an intel based Mac. Sorry.
