LOL...See I told Ya So. Didn't I say that the big "Real" cel-phone makers are not gonna sit on their hands after the iPhone would be introduced. It's called capitalism in a free market society aka Competition. The iPhone has a big red bullseye on it and the big boys of the industries such as Palm, Motorola, Sony, Samsung, etc.... are all behind the crosshairs. I'm tellin ya, the iPhone is a great piece of technological innovation, but it will lose BIG TIME in it's industry because Apple will only sleep with Cingular, therefore shunning 70% of the cel-phone subscribers. And finally....Read my lips:PEOPLE DON'T SWITCH CARRIERS BECAUSE OF PHONES, THEY SWITCH CARRIERS BECAUSE OF CARRIERS.You can sure bet that iPhone-like phones will reach Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, thus giving people excuses NOT to switch over to Cingular.
Shh!!! If you mention too loudly that the title is total bulls**t, you might reveal that you read the article before commenting! The guy didn't work on the iPhone. Period. He worked for the company that "made the tools to build the iPod interface" - which is quite a bit different than what the headline on this article claims.
@MrBabyManHe (or he and his Pixo employees) apparently designed the user interface for the original iPod. I *guess* since the iPhone UI carries over that same basic design to the iPhone (including for the phonebook), it's not that far out of left field. But it's a pretty big stretch to go from there to "iPhone Deisgner."Note: Though some articles seem to say Mercer's Pixo just designed an API that Apple then used to design the actual interface ("made the tools to build the iPod interface"), this article seems a lot clearer that Pixo created the iPod interface:http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2004/08/16/BUGTG878AR1.DTL
Hm... If this guy has truly worked on Mac OS 7, does that mean that we will soon see the biggest update on the Palm OS in years?Sorry Palm, we had a good run, but it's over. You have had like 10 years to do something that isn't kaf**kingly stupid, but nooooo. You failed me.

"The title explains it all, just read"Why do I need to read it if the title explains it all?

yup. completely inaccurate title. vaguely interesting story, but so wrongly titled that it kinda has to be marked as 'inaccurate'.
