Well, all families are supposed to be able to bear the burden of the removal of choice, don'tcha know, or rely on the nearest available church, I guess, and not bother The People with the costs and needs of a newborn, even if it's funding a program aimed at getting these young women on their feet, educated, and ready to get out on their own with their new child.Embarrassing, vile, infuriating...
As far as I'm concerned, take the funding away. Before you start assuming that I'm a complete jackass, read what I have to say.We can shove all the sex-ed classed down the throats of every single teen girl and guy out there but that only serves one thing and that is to spark the interest of having sex. Something to do with going against what adults say that they shouldn't do.Now, if we take the funding away and tell every teen out there that the doors to the welfare offices are locked and that they WILL NOT get ANY funding from the government if they have a child that will get them to think about whether or not it's a good idea. Right now, teens think that if they have a child they'll get tons of federal and local aid. Want a free paycheck? Have a kid! That's the mentality that most teens have today. Take that away and close the welfare office to all these teen girls and I think you'll see a major drop in teen pregnancy.
It's an inaccurate article. The program in question received about $1.3 million the previous year from Federal and State funding. They had asked for $5million this year for expansion projects. Sarah Palin, acting as governor only gave them $3.9 million. It's not as much as they had asked for, but it was still close to 3 times what they had received the previous year.
Not rationalizing just stating a fact. Cant blame me on your assumptions. Geeks: well when the only outside contact they get is surfing the leftist blogs and playing second life I can see why they hate republicansAs far as the bump ....link it. I want to see where the ever hated fox news called this a terrorist fist bumpI did see a leftist mag The New Yorker display the "bump" in a cartoon drawing not fox.
