gear.ign.com — IGN has learned from several credible sources that the PSP 2 is indeed on the horizon, and will be packing multi-touch technology. According to our sources, the PSP 2 will feature a widescreen multi-touch interface comparable to that of the iPhone for both in-game control and menu navigation.

yes, you are missing it.touch screens like the one on your old palm with a stylus are old news.the issue here is "multitouch" which allows you to use more than one finger to interact with the display at one time. The allows for zooming by making a pinching motion with the fingers, etc.multitouch has more to do with the software than the hardware itself.

Last time I checked, Nintendo Wii is a f**king joke and any real gamer will tell you so. Nintendo Wii is doing well because they've abandoned hardcore gamers for a broad audience of retards who don't have the dexterity or brain power to play a real game with a real interface device like a keyboard/mouse or a controller.

I agree about the motion detection; it has no place on a handheld. I often play my PSP on the bus or train, so if I were playing a game like loco roco, I'd be f**king up left and right, because I'm being jostled around.

The dual analog is really all I really would want.Better processing and screen resolution is a bit of a given, its just what happens through time. However, the mentioning of implementing Sixaxis makes sense, especially on a handheld, like the feature or not on the controllers.Ther other things, mainly being firmware related like in-game XMB, friends list, and trophies, I hoped they'd manage to pull off, hell, on the current PSP model.

Because games play better with freakin' BUTTONS, duh!Have you ever played a FPS on iPod Touch? Freakin' SUCKS! Digital joysticks are terrible. If Sony started doing touchscreen for games, it would ruin the system. What it needs is a second analogue stick, like us gamers have been asking for for almost 5 years now!
