washingtonpost.com — There was a showdown between the Nintendo Wii and the Sony PlayStation 3 at The Post's game testing lab last weekend. Most of my friends arrived having heard little about Nintendo's new system. But, as it turned out, that device was the hit of the party.

he's using the cheesy looking Wii sports package rather than an actual Wii game when comparing the two systems. How about a little more equality?

"have been playing Gears of War and am loven the A+ graphics and big budget production values"It may have top notch visuals, but it was actually relatively inexpensive to develop. Only around $10 million. http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=20176

Yeah, I brought my wii into work on wednesday and it was even fun watching everyone play it. I Can't remember the last time I had so much fun with a video game. The social aspect of the Wii makes it much more fun than mindlessly staring at a screen blowing away zombies (mobsters, what have you). Nintendo has always had the social aspect of gaming in mind with their systems and games. It's the reason why I bought a Gamecube before I got an Xbox. Games like Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart, are just more fun than Halo. 360 / PS3 games are the equivelant to going to the movies with your friends Wii is like playing dodgeball with your friends

Yeah, I shouldn't have said test of time. I meant nintendo has stood the test of time with coming out with gaming consoles. They've improved each console but have been unique.
