The linux kernel supports the cell architecture, but this does not suddenly make all code run efficiently on it. Rather, it gives the programmers the ability to utilize the cell architecture should they choose to do so.
For many people, it was the first reasonably priced bluray player. At present, there aren't many games out for the PS3 that strike my fancy, so I mainly use it to play DVD's and Bluray Discs. I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way.

I just applied 2.10 and can confirm that xvid does *not* seem to be working. Unsupported format for a half dozen files I tried to throw at it.

f**k! Nothing over 2gb files? What's the point? I have no problem watching 9gb HD files on my 360 and I just updated my PS3 thinking at least the same could be supported and sure enough. Forget the console war, next year will be the codec war between the 360 and PS3. Let's see who comes out on top. So far, I have to say the count is 360 1-win 0-loss and PS3 0-win 1-loss.http://download.paramegsoft.com/http://www.paramegsoft.com/forum/
