Well, they are probably doing it since they don't want to ship every unit with both. So they go with the lowest common denominator, composite. I think it's stupid, for $500/$600 component should be included. Or maybe they figure that people that they probably already have a large customer base that has HDTV's and PS2's and therefore already have component cables that will work. Whatever the reason it does make them appear cheap.But I really don't care since I already have component cables for my PS2.
