kotaku.com — "Then, with a chill, it dawned on me. Dave had come from the midnight launch. These guys followed him across town." The guy breaking into the car acted as if it were his own, patting his pockets as if checking for keys, then with a sigh retrieved a smallish sledgehammer and proceeded to smash the window open and then checked the trunk. Wow...

And how. Like the 360, I won't consider this thing "launched" until I can walk (not run) into a store during regular business hours and pay retail or less. Which will probably be about March if the 360 was anything to go by.

Just walked into the local best buy and bought it. The manager was doing an interview and putting two on the shelf. Saw another guy grab the one so I snagged this before someone else eyeing it could.

I think the saddest part about this whole deal is that it speaks towards a larger picture of grey-marketism (made up a word). It's not illegal to resell these PS3s, of course, and with such a limited supply, and such high demand, it's intensely lucrative to be a reseller at this time. Now, of course, most people who want PS3s are probably gamers themselves, but there are shameful opportunists, and these would-be thieves are an example of the worst kinds of entrepreneurs imaginable: those who would build their fortunes out of violent deceit.Honestly, if I were in charge of eBay, and other resale sites, I'd put a moratorium on all PS3 auctions for a while. If I had a conscience. But, eBay's making a lot of money out of this too, what with seller fees, etc.Or, perhaps Sony could have ensured a nearly suitable supply.Or, maybe people could be less animalistic, dishonest, and just wait their turn in line.

You're missing it because you didn't flip the crab over for MASSIVE DAMAGE.Or maybe you didn't have real-time weapon switch.~Soniti
