I own a Wii/360/PSP so I have no allegiances to any one camp. I will buy a PS3 next year when there is a valid software library (for a multiconsole owner) or if there is a clear winner in the HD format wars, ie Bluray. I want the PS3 to do well as competition helps all of us (in fact I sad that in my original post) I don't understand why you people are so f**king married to your console. Again, you want to feel like you made the "right" choice.
hes probably referring to how XBMC handles things.and didn't anyone tell you usenet is like fight club. the first rule about it is that you don't talk about it
I've been gaming since the 80s.. and the only reason I bought a Wii, is to get my non-gamer girlfriend into playing games. I personally don'T play my Wii much compared to my 360.. they have some good games.. i just enjoy my 360 games better. (BTW, haven't gotten Galaxy yet..)
are we neglecting the whole "ill wait a year for them all to come out before i buy a next-gen console" gamers, theres conditions on both sides to skew numbers, but honestly i couldent care, i really only care about CURRENT numbers, the PS3 is going against the 360 NOW, if it manages to outsell the 360 in the present then that would be a major achievement for it, not saying "well its doing good/bad compared to the 360 a year ago"
wtf, this man speaks the truth. If you're a console owner, you want games. Specifically, some third party games. However, third parties normally do more exclusives on platforms that sell more. Also, if you're interested in the gaming industry, you might like to see where PS3 or the 360 are going.
I think you are reading the charts prematurley. There is still a very large amount of people waiting to get the PS3 because the games that they want only seemed to be lined up for it. Take for instance, the game yakuza 3 or steambot chronicles 2, very japanese sentric games but Me and quite a few others would love to get their hands on these titles and if I didn't have a PS3 I would purchase one to get them. The libraries alread have different appeals. And I now own more games on PS3 than I own on my 360.
Well, 1080p is doable, especially for racers and fighting games, but certain compromises have to be made. You have to sacrifice detail for the higher resolution. Also, the 360's GPU is capable of higher fill-rate and can have more memory allocated to it through the unified memory architecture.
After playing Uncharted, it's an amazing game.I saw maybe three parts where their was texture lag. I never saw framerate issues, or slowdown of any kind. Hell, load-time was practically non-existent.Compare that to Mass effect where you can literally get stuck in a building before it loads the textures, the processing power of the PS3 is obviously superior...Now if we could only find a way to make the 360 controller work with it :P
