game2life.com— I understand why gamesradar thought they wouldn't be wireless (they though wireless in wifi) but now tons of people believe that false story.

Yet another article claiming that the PS3 controllers will be wireless has been posted. Please spread the word. Now a ton more people from DIGG and Engadget believe this false info.
That site is the most reputable news-source ever.Hey it's on the internets; so it must be true.Spec facts aren't set in stone until it's released. The previous PS3 spec sheet had dual HDMI outs. I'll believe it when I see it.
It is funny how it is so hard to get true clarifications of proven facts to spread, yet false stories with little legitimate evidence spread like wildfire. There isnt as much of a difference between the two systems. Both will be capable of 1080p, its just that one will have the option of using HDMI and one will use AV. Card readers and wifi could be offered as addons for those who truly want everything after having bought the base system. The harddrives are removable and upgradable (given the door on the sides of both models) so even that will be upgradable. However, its funny how so many have no clue about what I have said, and believe some false story based on unfounded speculation.
bobeotm: So true. However, you have to consider that, among what could be called as "opposition fanboys" (i.e. fanboys of the competition), anything and everything that damages their so-loathed "enemy" will be accepted as fact immediately, no matter if it's really true or not. Proof: Just right now I was talking to an acquaintance of mine, saying that [sic] "you PS3 players are gonna get shafted with the cheaper console because it will not have wireless controllers!", and even after I showed him this link he was reluctant to believe me.In short: Fanboys are stupid and willing to believe anything that gives more power to whatever it is they love.Dugg+.
Hmmmm... There's a more important subject which must be discussed. The question isn't whether or not component video cables can or can't pass 1080p. They can. The point is, that no television in the United States will accept a 1080p signal from its component video inputs. A further concern is the Image Constraint Token (ICT). The ICT *can* be used by a film studio to downsample a Blu-Ray film to 480p over any analog video port, thus requiring HDMI for actual HD playback. Sony's answer to the latter is that Sony / Columbia Pictures won't use the ICT... Ok, so what about every other major studio's Blu-Ray discs? And what's to stop Sony from implementing the ICT at some point in the future?Sony is banking their price on their Blu-Ray technology. Unfortunately, this is just as bad as Microsoft shipping a console without a hard disk.
