translate.google.com — 78,000 PS3 were sold in its first two days, 24% better than what the PS2 did. Wii and Xbox 360 are stuck respectively at 75,000 and 49,000 consoles sold in two days. Sony expect to reach the 100,000 milestone this weekend.

Wow, the PS3 beat all the records for 2nd day sales in Europe./SarcasmThe true test of how well a console will do isn't how many they sell in the first 2 days. It's the combined console and game sales over a longer period of time.

lufy,I don't know how to say this without it sounding like a leading question, but I don't want a lead answer, so please try to be open about it.Aren't you upset with Sony for the way it has been treating it's customers lately, especially Europeans, who always liked Sony more than the US has(at least on the surface), yet the US got the PS3 first? I think that is where must of the negativity on these forums comes from.

You take your damn dirty truth out of here! This is a Sony thread!

This is great I'm actually going to get a PS3 this weekend so i can't wait to play Resistance and motorstorm online with my European pals. Not only that but this seems to be a turning point for Sony because of the fact that if people want to buy a PS3, they could just go to the store and buy one if they wanted; unlike the Wii, which i think is being a little lazy with production.

Nobody wants the PS3s, Nobody wants the French!Coincidence, I think not!!

How many more games is Sony going to lose exclusive rights to?so far a few of the heavy hitters that have jumped Sony's ship are :Devil May Cry 4Unreal Tournament IIIAssassin's CreedMercs 2they can sell all the systems they want. If you don't have exclusives for your system you don't have squat.

That's because Nintendo hasn't been making them for the last 4 months.

Europe has a lot of money, that's all I have to say. :-/

Isn't Sony bigger than Microsoft? I mean, it's got more many than most European countries (not combined).Anyway, the last thing Nintendo gave me was Wind Waker. I'm not overly invested in their survival.
