gizmodo.com— The motion detection found on the PS3 is heading to the PS2 and PC. Gamers can combine the control options of a mouse, keyboard, joystick and more onto a single multi-functional controller.

I couldn't agree more. I still have that sidewinder and the novelty wears off quickly. Unfortunately, that controller only had a d-pad so there was nothing to fall back on.I do, however, think that if you have a game that can really take advantage of a third analog "stick" then this might work. If all your fingers and thumbs are busy with other important input and you need one or two more axes then this is a good way to get them.
this is so 'not new'..as mentioned, controllers with '6 degrees of movement' have been around for ages, and they haven't been successful ..for a reason. I for one dont like the idea because I tend to move the controller around when I play games anyway ('cept for the keyboard/mouse thing), I don't want those 'involuntary' hand gestures to interfere with what lack of gaming skill i generally have anyway.

Idiots bashing Sony again, not even knowing why, but just wanting to get on the bandwagon. How unoriginal.

I had the Microsoft Sidewinder gamepad in 2000 that did the same thing. I played Motorcross Madness with it.

Didn't the N64 have a 3rd party controller add on (kind of looked like a steering wheel) that gave it tilt functionality?
