thinkprogress.org — A new poll finds that liberals are more open to opposing viewpoints than conservatives, who tend to rely on Fox and Fox News for their entertainment and news. “While 22% of conservatives said they “never” enjoy entertainment that reflects values other than their own, just 7% of liberals felt the same way."

Are those responses caused more by the speaker being an assh**e like Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, or Michelle Malkin or with his/her conservative views? I've seen Ann Coulter speak at a university - she was an ass, people responded sharply, then everybody went home. As long as Coulter, O'Reilly, Malkin, Hannity, Rush, etc. are the faces of conservative media, "conservatives" should expect sharp responses.

So conservatives are more tolerant because they... can't stand hecklers. Exemplary logic.

Every conservative I know gets their news from multiple sources, including liberal ones like the NY Times, MSNBC and CNN. I don't personally know a single liberal who gets any information from any conservative source, a point of which they are proud. Question a conservative about the bias of Fox News and they'll say, yep it is. Question a liberal about the bias of the New York Times and you have to stand back while they scream, yell, and wave their arms around at the mere suggestion it's not the perfect news source.
