@mithrasinvictus, I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the info. I wrote them off back when they became lawsuit happy and I have refrained from using that format ever since. Since GIF went from something like a 90% share of all web images to more like 10% in a couple short years, I think that I was not alone. So it shows the danger to a company of litigating a commonly used format for short term gains.

I say S Q L as it's the official pronunciation. Although I've pronounced it as "Squirrel" before to people who say sequel.

PNG isn't "uncompressed"... it's lossless. There is a difference.
