its not whats wrong with the media its what wrong with the society, newspapers and stuff reflect the society, its a sad thing, but news channels/papers etc. are all going for ratings

What do you expect from CNN or any of the rest? They continue to drift to the common dominator. Look at the majority of people at home during the middle of the day and you will see why they run entertainment rather than news. You want real news - use an aggregator. It’s like watching TV – you have to pick and choose or you will spend hours of dead time where your mind is turned to mush. Remember the media wants you to follow along – not to think about the story or issue involved.

Your post is littered with half accuracies. This is why i dont read the tabloids (or the tabloid websites).I prefer the quality papers which get their priorities right.And even then to be honest i pretty much stick to the football pages to see how Manchester United are doing.
