flickr.com — My brother sent me this from his phone at a BestBuy in Broomfield, Colorado. He was amazed to see a whole cage of 60gb PS3s just sitting there. He said that he saw several people walking around with Xbox360s and playing the Wii, nobody seemed to even notice that they were there, or more accurately nobody cared.

The sad thing is that a huge majority of the current available PS3 inventory is probably failed ebay sale returns.

Im not a big gamer but i got a PS3 for the hack-ability of it. I think in the long run, the PS3 will be doing things the Wii and Xbox wont be able to do. Very much like the PSP. It came out about two years ago, now we are seeing the meat of it from the home brew side. I was just thinking about multiple USB tv tuners ala-Tivo. 500,000 ps3's sold in the US in its first day of sales, wonder how many HD DVD players have been sold so far? It doesn't take a brain scientist to figure out that blue-ray is going to be it.

K, so Sony didn't get the release to go there way. And possibly in a few places around the globe there are PS3's unbought.That doesn't change the fact that the system is great and will go places Wii And 360 won't. It had a bad start, and way too high a price......but when the price drops and viewers see just a few games coming out in the next few months, well those shelves will be empty. Nothing against the Wii which of course did better at the debut and holidays, but I think overtime Sony's gonna come back.
