Myspace is a great site. I spend a lot of time on their forums and In the group forums talking with other people about pretty much any subject, if you have an interest there is probably a forum for it. Another thing Myspace is great for is listening to new music without having to worry about downloading Mp3s, I have tons of music videos on my Favorites list that I shuffle through through out my day. Plus thanks to myspace I date more often then I ever did before I found the site, It's so much easier to find cool girls to hang out with, Its almost like a free dating service. I really dont understand where all the hate for myspace comes from. It's a great site that helps people like who dont have much of a social life to be able to find friends or just people to hang out with in real life from my city.
Kevin if you read this. I know you're always joking on myspace. Digg is could be one of the best and most addictive sites on the net. With this being said, since it has such a cult following I'm sure you could do it better.
In defense of MySpace, the site is exactly as its users make it. Its strength is that it is quite configurable. You are allowed to edit most of the elements of it. That creates potential security holes, because you can make these alleged security holes with HTML and CSS outside of MySpace too.Yeah, the user page designs are amateurish and garish. That's exactly because the people designing them are not professional designers! In many cases, they're kids who like things to be colourful or sparkly or animated. There are sites out there like createblog that actually provide very high quality profiles:<a class="user" href="http://www.createblog.com/layouts/index.php?layout=myspace_layouts">http://www.createblog.com/layouts/index.php?layout ...</a>

I use MySpace, but props for pointing out the major security issues that MySpace still continues to knowingly leave open.
