Blizzard still patches starcraft for crying out loud. Now that's dedication to your fanbase, even if they did completely rape their original RTS fanbase with WoW.
very good point i'm running mine at 75 refresh rate so yeah past that is useless good pointalthough i just increased mine from 60 to 75 and see a huge difference, 100 fps would be even nicer, so i'm right, you pointed out that right now monitors are a bottleneck, +1 me +1 you
System Specs:AMD Athlon x2 6000+4 GB GSkill DDR2 800600 W Aspire PSU with SLI support Dual XFX 8600 GT video cards in full 16x SLI, alternate frame renderingSoundblaster X-Fi Professional Fidel1ty XtremeGamerCreative Labs 7.1 Surround Audio System500 GB SATAII Hard DriveGuys, with this system setup, I have no problems running Crysis on all very high settings with AA off. However, I have been able to run with AA on on all very high settings using RivaTuner to overclock my cards. Piece of cake, no probs, no overheats. I spent about $1500 or so on this set up to run programming software for DX10 environments. You really dont need much other than this, if you know how to use your hardware properly, then there is no problem running Crysis. I have also run BioShock DX10 settings all the way up, Company of Heroes DX10 all the way up, COD4 all the way up, there really aren't games out there that will tax your hardware if you know what you are doing with it. The right set up, and you have no problems... need help, drop me a note.
Belive it or not my 7600GT can run on Med settings. no AAnVidia XFX 7600GT Fatal1ty Professional Edition. =Dattached a 120mm fan to it, and it runs great. avg fps of about 50.
Give me any FPS without auto aim, 5 minutes to learn the game, and I guarantee I'll spank you on your "just-as-efficient" controller.Try playing a PC FPS with a joystick instead of a mouse. Same thing.
I have an HP Elite M9340f:Specifications:O.S: Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bitProcessor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 (2.7GHz x 4)Memory (Ram): 6 GigsVideo Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9500GS DX10 512mbMonitor: 22'' HP Flat Panel. HDMI Connector from Video Card.Screen Resolution: 1920x1080 (1080p Full HD)I can play Crysis on medium without lag, but as soon as I put it on High, it starts to lag....not much but I hate playing with lag. So in order to play it on High and Very High without lag I would need a stronger video crad. What would I need. My PC is top of the line...except for my Video Card. It's really good, but Cysis is on another freakin' level. Any Suggestions to a NVIDIA Video Cards I should use so I can play it on a higher setting (High and/or Very High)???Thanks for any replies!!!
Wow, buddy, so If i had a 46" samsung 1080p 120 htz lcd, that wouldn't give me just cause for wanting to play in 1920x1080? sounds like your in denial. Just because you cant run/see the difference on your setup does not mean that there are not others who can. Believe me, That extra resolution makes hella-difference. Tru say sig 7, I too am marking you as innacurrate
"It's possible to run the game on Very High with a 8800GT if you use a low resolution such as 1280x1024"First 1280x1024 is a standard resolution most people use, second you cannont run crysis on very high with an 8800gt on 1280x1024...well you can if you want to get 10-15 fps, on high maximum 40,average of 15-25...i can't even play on medium stabley, i have an Evga 8800gt, amd athlon 64x2 5000+ at 2.6ghz, 2 gigs of buffalo ram...a standard pc machine, and i sure can't play at 1280x1024 on very high.
Lol you are obviously a console fan boy. If you had any common sense you would realize that the technology put into a PS3 (graphics wise) is probably about 3 years old. A pc with an 2.6ghz dual core with an 8800gt could own any 360 or PS3 in graphics, performance and framerates. Oh and all the customizing you can do with a PC in games and on the computer. Know what you're talking about before you say something. Pc's have always been ahead of consoles and always will, except for co-op and portability.
Thing is you can make a kickass Pc for $500. 2.6ghz CPU, evga 8800gt, 2-4 gigs of ram, 160 gig hd. 600 watt psu, case, you get the picture. People only think bad of pc's because of crysis. All other games work perfectley on pc with better framerates than a console.
