needless to say, it's tough to pickpocket someone when someone else is pummeling you with pillows.

I notice that there are several people going "wow, that event I wasn't at was lame!" but no one saying "I went and it sucked." Ya know why? Because even the cynics who wandered by couldn't stand around that many people having great, unselfconscious fun and think "laaaaaame". I saw more than one person in a business suit grudgingly pick up a pillow and head into the crowd. If you take yourself so seriously that you can't enjoy silly fun, try to lighten up. What's the worst thing that can happen? You might enjoy yourself!

City wide pillow fights can be fun and safe if someone organizes the event ahead of time. That way the proper precautions can be taken to avoid damages. Check out video of a pillow fight held on April Fools Day. http://volumeone.org/v1_events/post/50.html
