dslreports.com — A Convergsys support technician outsourced by Comcast may have gone a little overboard in a quest for righteous videogame vengeance. After getting packet flooded (a networking trick that essentially DDoS's a user's Xbox) by some fellow gamers on Microsoft's Xbox Live! service, the rep decided to use Comcast support systems to wage war....

This is nothing, i had some guy who claimed to work for MS threaten to suspend/ban me, gave me his real name and employee ID which apparently he was a upper tier support rep(funny cause he kept saying MS wont do anything cause he was too "important") as well thinking he lives in a cloak of immunity. I called MS about it and apparently the guy was in fact an employee and was ensured that appropriate action was taken. It was funny cause the guy said he does stuff all the time, I love when employees abuse there power, makes even more fun to see them fall.

As much as it is funny, I am going to have to call bulls**t.A comcast employee of allegedly high status using his access for personal benefit? This sounds reckless and he would surely loose his job if he lost his anonymity. "it is not illegal however for me to intervine even for personal issues..illegal activity is illegal period...and since he violated the terms of use policy i have complete authority to take full action as needed.."This is complete BS, a company would NEVER allow for an employee to intervene on the account of personal issues for fear of bad PR. A few screenshots are not going to convince me, there are way to many inconsistencies.

Assuming this guy is from Winnipeg, it defaults to IE and firefox isn't on the desktop, but you can go start>run>type in firefox and you're good to go. Try it.

I used to work at the Winnipeg Convergys (unfortunately) and I know a lot of people that still do and they've confirmed this actually happened. He did everything he said he did except for what happened when he called the kids place, no one knows what actually happened on the call except for the D-bag and based on the "l33tness" of his post I'm sure he embellished a bit . I guess his Tier 2.5 powers failed him when he was escorted from the premises the same day he posted this. His bragging about it to everyone on the call centre floor ensured it reached management within a few hours.
