I don't know what it is... I'm sure the British version is funny and everything but it is something about the british accent that just makes it boring to me. I'm not saying it is I just can't seem to tolerate the accent lol
It's also kind of like how we have the "k" and "yo" sounds in English, but Americans pronounce 京都 is "kiyoto" instead of "kyoto." It's because certain combinations of sounds don't exist in English.It's kind of how I could complain about Chinese mixing up the "l" and "r" like they do sometimes--both sounds exist in Chinese (see "nar" - where - and "lucha" - green tea) or how Japanese people can't say "si" like in Spanish or "see" like in English. The "s" sound exists and the "i"/"ee" sound exists in Japanese. It's just that when you put them together, in Japanese the "s" becomes an "sh" sound automatically.
