I think it would be even better if he wasn't definitely killed, as in, we see a huge explosion where the villain's mansion is, the movie concludes, then we hear some extra mention that the villain had a secret getaway point (ala every evil villain in movies) and he's probably living it up somewhere tropical.Corny, but better.

Should have done this during Brosnan's tenure... it was the right environment

They should get Trebek to be a nameless victim of Connerys initial appearance as the villian...He could be the government scientist that gets shot on the train as connery takes the secret documents that hold the formula for the zombie virus from the briefcase...

Brosnan was the best Bond.

What the hell would he be called? Wrinkles? You can't have a geriatric bad guy, Bond has to almost catch him and he can run away. Unless Connery has a rocket powered wheelchair I don't think his escape would be believable. He could have a cameo sure, but not as the primary villain.

Because Bond movies are popular, because their is a huge fan base, and IMO, because they are awesome! Casino Royale (2006) grossed US $594,239,066, do you honestly believe they aren't going to continue banking in on that?!?!? As long as the cash is flowing you will continue to see Bond movies being released. On the subject of Connery being a villain, terrible idea..
